About Us
The First Love Fellowship of Mexico, MO exists to bring people to God both locally and abroad through the love that Jesus Christ shows to us through His Word and through faith in Jesus Christ who is our First Love and the devotion of our lives. (1 John 4:19 ) “We love, because He first loved us.”
Our Mission Statement

Being one united body led by the power of the Holy Spirit, we as Jesus Christ’s followers bring others into His fellowship, spread His word, strive for Christ-like maturity and love and serve others, all to glorify God.

Our Declaration of Principles
We believe:

-
In the Trinity. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Mark 1:10-11, Matthew 28:19)

-
That Jesus Christ is the One and only true Son of God who was, and is, and will always be. (John 1:49; Matthew 3:17; John 10:36; Romans 1:4; Rev. 1:8)

-
That humanity is separated from God because of sin and is in need of salvation (Genesis 3:6-24; Romans 6:23; Romans 5:6-9.)

-
Because of this need, we believe that Jesus Christ as God, retained His divinity and became a man by means of a virgin birth (Luke 1:28-34) to dwell among us (John 1:14) showing us the truth of our God and His love.

-
That Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation. (John 14:6); that the only way to be saved is through the profession of faith in the work of Jesus Christ (Romans 10:9-10), in His sinless life (1 John 3:5; 2 Cor. 5:21), in His death on the cross as a sacrifice to reconciled us to the Father (Colossians 1:20), in His bodily resurrection (Matthew 28:1-10), in His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9-10; Ephesians 1:20-23), and in His personal return (Acts 1:11; Rev. 1:7)

-
That the Church is the Body of Jesus Christ who is the head and the members are His body by means of a spiritual rebirth (Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:19). As born again children, we are endowed by the Holy Spirit with gifts to edify the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-31).

-
That the Bible is the only inspired, fully irrefutable and inerrant word of God. A believer is nourished and enabled to grow by the study and application of the truths of the Bible (2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

-
That God works in us to spread His word and to change us to be Christ-like by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Colossians 3:1-17).

We glorify God by doing His will through faith and deeds, guided by the Holy Spirit. As a church family, we worship God, study the bible, fellowship together and encourage one another striving to become Christ-like in our attitudes, actions and speech.
Our Statement of the Sanctity of Human Life
We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image.  Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimension, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death.  We are therefore called to defend, protect and value all human life. (Psalm 139)

Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, equal yet with different roles of men and women who (Ephesians 5:21-23) reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27). Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting on one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in scripture (Genesis 2:18-25). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Corinthians 6:18, 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4).
We believe that any form of sexual immorality including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, and use of pornography, is sinful and offensive to God (Matthew 15:18-20 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19-21; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).
We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity (Mark 12:28-31.) Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture.
Marriage Policy
Because God has ordained marriage and defined it as the covenant relationship between a man, a woman, and Himself, the First Love Fellowship Church will only recognize marriages between a biological man and a biological woman.
A marriage is a worship service, conducted under the ordinances of Scripture and with the ultimate aspiration to glorify God the Father and to consummate Holy Matrimony that God has created and ordained.
